Belated (of course) Fathers Day!

Guess who knocked over Xavier? We didn't do too much for Father's Day. I had a horrible night of not much sleep, so Nick let me sleep in some. That was nice and he and the kids watched a movie. We gave Nick his gifts and headed to the park to take some pictures. I have to mention that Nick has lost about 50 pounds and you can really tell in these pictures! Anyway, after pics we headed to the mall, so Nick could pick out his gift from me. He wanted a pair of Jordan shoes. Later, we met his dad for dinner. It was a nice day. The kids as usual were excited to have Daddy for the whole day!

Milwaukee Zoo

Guess who was told they wouldn't get anything if they continued to be naughty? (picture below)

We took the kids, my dad and neice Chelsey to the Milwaukee Zoo the other weekend. The weather was perfect. There were plenty of people there! Drake was so excited to go, wearing his tiger shirt and listing the animals he was going to see. Zebras are his favorite, so he was really looking forward to those! He got a big kick out of the big orangutan (however you spell it) that was outside. The orangutan had a piece of cloth that he kept sticking into a tube that was on the outside of his cage, he would pull it out and stick it into his mouth, sucking the cloth. We didn't know what was in there until one of the workers came out to talk about it him and it was water that was in there. It was funny watching him!

We finally got to the zebras and they will be best remembered by Drake saying "Zebra pooped." Yep, that's what the zebra did when Drake was watching him. He thought that was exciting. We saw all the animals (I think) and were pretty pooped out after that. Drake fell asleep right after we got in the car. We stopped at the ice cream place after so we could all get something cold to eat. The older kids enjoyed the animals, but it was Drake's first time really understanding what they were, so that was fun to watch. * Click on pics to see larger*

28 Years Ago...

This baby girl was born! My best friend Angie! Just have to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" I love and miss you lots! Your friendship means the world to me!! Enjoy your day!

Can You Tell Me The Colors of The Monkeys?

Drake can! Point at the blue monkey and he says "Bloo!". Point at the green monkey and he says "Greeen!" Point at the brown monkey and he says "Chocolate Milllk!" Ha Ha! He's too funny!! He said that the first time I asked him what the color the monkeys were and I cracked up laughing!

Pictures From The Festival

Memorial Day weekend we took the kids to the annual Young at Heart Festival. It's actually the place that I first saw Nick eleven years ago. I will write that story another time. This was Drake's first year of going on any rides (except for the carousel). We put him on the motorcycles first since he LOVES motorcycles! He has to point them out every time he sees one ("there's a motorcycle mom!"). He really loved riding it...he wouldn't let his hands off the handlebars to push the button that beeps though..until the ride stopped, haha! He tells everyone "I rode on a motorcycle outside!" Xavier took him on the little train. Nick took him down the big slide. He also rode on another zebra at the carousel. He played the water race game with Nick and they won a medium sized Sponge Bob. Drake loves SpongeBob! The kids had a great time and the weather was sunny (a lil too sunny for me, I got sunburned). Drake was wore out after all the rides and excitement!
