Busy Busy!!

Wow! Things have been busy! Last weekend was the kids' Halloween Birthday party. It was fun, but a little hectic. Especially trying to entertain to different age groups...but we managed. It did get a little crazy when the older kids played the Mummy Wrap game. They were divided into two teams and one kid in each team was the mummy. The other kids have to wrap him up with toilet paper and whoever is wrapped the fastest, that team wins. I didn't actually get to view the game (I was with the little kids painting pumpkins), but I did get to see the aftermath of the game! The kids (and I think my lovely husband) decided to take all the toilet paper and TP the tree in the backyard!! Wow, that was a sight!! Luckily, it got cleaned up quick! This past friday, the 13th was Nick's 28th Birthday! The kids made him cards and we got him a cookie cake. When he came home they surprised him and we sang to him and he blew out his candles, then opened his presents. Xavier and I decided at the last minute we would hide one of his presents (a watch put in a Barrel of Monkeys container) outside. We wrote up some directions and we headed outside to watch him. After some confusion, he finally found it! We headed to Outback for supper and had a great time! Yesterday Nick and I headed for Gurnee to spend the night. It was my first time without having Drake for the night!! He stayed at my parents house with Xavier and Xandria. We went to Great America for the Fright Fest. Boy...was that PACKED!! I don't remember ever seeing that many people there before!! Every line was TOO packed!! We didn't get there until 4pm anyhow, so we just walked around looking at everything and got to go the rocking boat and the carousel. Left around 6 and headed to Gurnee Mills Mall and I made a beeline to Archivers (LOVE that store!). Stayed there until my set time limit was up and we headed to see a movie. Jackass 2! Have to say...that movie is HILARIOUS and just a touch gross (horse semen, anyone?)! It's definetly a MUST SEE!! This morning we headed back to the mall and got lots of stuff for Nick and the kids (I can never find stuff for me). Had to go and get the kids (YAY!)...just in time to go bowling. It was definetly back to normal with the three kids!! That's all for now...the kids are actually all in bed and I'm ready to relax! I will add pictures later, when it will let me.

Xandria Turned 5!!

Xandria's birthday was last thursday. We celebrated at home with a little cupcake cake for her and she opened her presents from us. She was REALLY into the Wonka bar and could not wait to eat it!! The Barbie and dog she is holding she was really excited about because the dog not only eats the food, but it actually poops it back out also. Nice! She got the Barbie Party Bus and the Polly Pocket Cruise ship and some other things. Afterwards, we went to Chuck E Cheese and she had a blast!! So, she is now five and she loves to tell everybody how she 'is five and a BIG girl!" She told me that on her last birthday she's going to be a teenager and then she can drive! Now there's a great thought...um, no! We have been busy cleaning and working on the addition getting ready for their birthday party on sunday. It's going to be Halloween theme. Should be fun. Now I just got to figure out what games to play! Well, that's all for now!

Pictures from Xavier's Birthday

Xavier turned 9!!

Xavier's 9th birthday was yesterday! It's so hard to believe it was nine years ago. Sounds so long, yet the time has gone SO fast!! We celebrated at home. Xavier had a breakfast of chocolate chip Eggos covered in whipped cream and chocolate syrup with nine candles on top. We sang Happy Birthday to him and it took him a couple tries to blow out the candles (little brother tried to help also). He opened up his presents from us and then we headed to Toys R Us so he could spend the $50 he got. He picked out a Star Wars Lego spaceship, then we headed to Happy Joe's to eat. The kids played in the arcade a little, we ate, then they came out to sing Happy Birthday to him. He was a little surprised by that! Afterwards, we went to Granny and Papa's so they could watch Drake while the four of us went bowling. Xandria and I are on the Bumper league and Nick and Xavier bowl regular. I'm not much of a bowler, but it's fun to have something for us to do. Then it was back to Granny and Papa's to get Drake who had just finished up three servings of spaghetti and was looking pretty orange!! Nick and Xavier worked on the Legos before we went home and put the kids to bed. It was a great day! I will have to add pictures later, it's not working.

One Of Each

These are our three kids. Xavier who will be nine next sunday. Xandria will be five the following thursday. Drake who just turned 20 months. Someone had mentioned to me before that I had one of each, not sure what she meant she said "A brunette, a redhead and a blondie." She was right! It's kind of funny that it's like that. Since most people ask where she gets the red hair (besides the mailman, just kidding!), my dad has red hair! I took this picture over the summer and it's one of my favorites.

10 Years Ago and 20 Months Old

First off, ten years ago today when I was 17 I met my future husband, Nick for the first time. I had seen him for the first time three months before and a couple other times in between us actually meeting. I thought he was so cute, but never did talk to him...fast forward three months when senior year started. Sitting in gym class, I talked to this girl I hadn't talked to before...we were talking about boys and she mentioned she still had a thing for her ex and she occasionally talked to him. She told me she had a picture and would bring it the ncxt day. The next day she shows me the picture and I could not believe it...that was the guy I had been seeing around all summer and had a crush on!! I told her that and apparently she had talked to him a short time after and told him about me (why I'm not to sure since she still liked him). So the next weekend I went over to her house and she thought we should go see a movie and invite her brother and Nick along. Obviously hoping I would be with her brother (no way!) and her and Nick could get back together. Nick and I spent most of the movie goofing and having a good time, while trying to not be too obvious. Afterwards we went back to her house where he invited us to go out, but I said I needed to go home and he left. After I got home, the phone rang and it was him! How did he get my number?! He had seen it written down at her house and put it in his phone. Wow, I was shocked!! So, that's the story of the day we met. Love him so much!! Today is also the day our baby Drake turned 20 months old!! He's getting so big so fast...not that he's ever been little. Born weighing 8lbs 8oz...he weighed 36 lbs at his 18 month check up!!
