Look Who Smiled...

Daxton did!! He first smiled at me last wednesday, the 19th when he was laying on his changing table and I was talking to him. I went to take a pic with my phone when he smiled again' but Nick had sent a message, so it didn't work. These pictures were taking two days later on his one month birthday. Luckily I had my camera! Drake was laying in front of him talking to him. I can't believe he has started smiling so soon! Took him to the doctor last week for his one month check up and he weighed 9lbs 5oz and was 22 inches long. Up from 8lbs 11oz and 21 1/2 inches two weeks before. He's still so little. The older two were both over 10 pounds and Drake was almost 11 pounds at one month!

Wild West Town

Last sunday we took the kids to Wild West Town. The weather was perfect, couldn't of asked for better! In the first pic of all of them some random cowboy worker came and stuck his head in...I had to crop him out so I could get one of just the kids! It was kinda funny though. They have quite a bit to do there...horse rides, slingshots, panning for gold, cork guns, bow and arrow, canoe rides, train ride, petting area, and a show also. The kids had a blast...we hadn't been there since Toots was two I think. Drake didn't want to stop panning for gold and gave himself a bath trying to carry the water around. He had to grab some of the rocks out of the water to put in his little gold bag also. He came in our room the next morning holding his gold bag and said "I'm taking this with to Papa's." Ok, didn't know we were going to Papa's, ha ha. Gotta run...baby needs diaper changed!

He's ours and he's healthy and so sweet :) We're glad to finally meet him and everything is going well. Mommy is feeling good and daddy is helping out with making sure she has gotten rest. The older siblings are excited and loving. More pictures and updates soon...it's feeding time.

In Seven Hours...

We are heading to the hospital to be induced!! 6 AM! Ugh...not good with early rising! Nick and I went to the doctor today. The ultrasound was first. He's head down and facing the right way...so no last pictures of his face in utero. He IS still a boy though...ha ha. He still has alot of hair. He was practicing breathing and his heartrate was 141. His fluid at 8. Didn't get to find out what his weight might be because the technician said she wasn't told to find out. Okay, well I want to know. Oh well, guess we will be totally surprised. Then I had a Non Stress Test for 20 minutes. Baby looked good. She told me I even had a contraction...I had no clue. After that it was time to talk to the doctor. She checked me and said cervix is still thick, but I'm dilated to 2. It was pretty painful when she was checking me! She said we could go in the morning and start Pitocin or wait a week. Ugh...a week is good for me :) But the more we talked about it, the more tomorrow sounded like the best option. Since his fluid is on the low end of normal...it's only going to decrease from now. If we wait until next week then everything will be five days older. I also have to be treated for Group B Strep (it showed up in my urine last week) and since I'm allergic to the medicine that doesn't take as long, I have to be treated with medicine that takes a little longer...so it's better to not be in full on labor. So, I'm FREAKING out just a little!!! Works out nice because Angela has tomorrow and wednesday off work, so the kids can be with her. Funny because she told me last week I needed to go into labor on monday! Felt bad dropping Drake off over there. It was already bedtime and I told him he was going to stay there and go to bed and he said "I wanna go with you to your house" and didn't want to get out of the car. He was playing with my hair when he was saying it also. But, I talked to him more and when I left he was waving and saying "I going to be good." :) The other two were like "see ya mom" ha ha. Xandria had open house at her school tonight. She's so excited to start school!! Well, I need to pack my bag, no of course that still hasn't been done and get some sleep if possible. Wish me luck!!

Today Is The Day...

that I am done being pregnant!! No, I haven't given birth or anything close to it. I'm just tired of being huge, unable to bend over or get up without so much difficulty. Tired of not having an appetite and when I finally eat or drink something, getting indigestion and heartburn. Tired of going to the bathroom all. the. time. Tired of having so many aches and pains even when all I'm doing is relaxing. Tired of my feet hurting so damn much. Ugh. Today is the day I became over it and ready to welcome this new one in our arms and see his precious face...but, I can wait until after the weekend...when things are done and I've gotten to feel his tiny body parts from the outside of my belly and the inside just a little longer. :) The photo was taken last month. Drake is showing his belly, because he tells everyone he has a baby brother in his tummy also :)

Baseball Season

Xavier's baseball season is now over. They got first place in the tournament!! It made me so nervous watching, because it was a pretty close game, but they pulled ahead! The kids were so excited! Their team came in second for the season, so they got a trophy for that also. Xavier was the catcher the whole season. He loves it and does an amazing job at it! His coach said that over and over. When he went up to get his trophies, she announced "the best catcher in the whole league." He really busted his butt...and roasted it also! The coach was saying he just has the natural instincts of a catcher and he does better than most of the catchers that are older. We're hoping that he can be on the same team next year...they really want him and he really wants to be on the team again...they are going to see if they can have the age thing worked out. It was a great team and great coaching. They never yelled (like alot of the other teams) and it was always about having fun.

Doctor Visit

I will be 39 weeks on thursday! Holy moly! I had my weekly doctor visit today. When she walked in she said "any contractions?" Uh, nope. She said she's been having dreams about me, haha! Yea of me being forever pregnant! I'm hanging in there though...having more aches, pains and just being uncomfortable, but I can't handle it for a bit longer. She checked my cervix again and it's still thick and all that. Baby is still up high and is apparently very comfortable right where he is! So, I have to go for a Non Stress Test and fluid check on monday and she said we will work on a plan. So that's making me nervous! You would think I would have the hang of it by now, but nope. Still a big worry wart, anxious and nervous like a crazy woman! It will be so amazing to meet him and see his little face though, just hope it doesn't require too much effort...ha ha! The good news is that I didn't gain any wait this week :) Doesnt quite make up for all that I have gained, but I'm still happy about it. I just haven't had much of an appetite lately. She did mention to make sure to be doing uh "bedroom activities" and that might help things out. Funny because Becky happened to mention that to me yesterday. Nothing like being ordered by your doctor to do it ;) Well, I'm off to wash some of the baby's things (see I'm preparing myself for him), before I crash...so exhausted! Nick and I did get to go out to eat by ourselves tonight, since the older kids are staying at Angela's tonight...Drake I picked up after...it was nice. That's all for now!

Drake loves eating his "ice cones" as he calls them. I made the mistake of getting this while we were out on our way home instead of getting ice cream from down the street from our house. Of course it was ALL over him by the time we got to the house! I had to snap some pictures before we cleaned him up.

36 Week Photo

As of this past thursday I'm 37 weeks pregnant!! Eek, only three more weeks to go and lots I want to get done before! I had my doctor visit on tuesday. Baby's still head down and his heart rate sounded good :) The results from my Group B Strep Test were negative. The week before I also had to have a urinalysis done because I was having protein in the urine. The results to that test showed nothing. Big surprise. That week she had also checked my cervix...I wasn't dilated any, but she said it was soft. Haven't had any action going on...had a contraction once...I think. I told Nick and he said "what's that mean?" I told him nothing. It is hard moving around and bending over...especially when there are little body parts sticking out of you :) There's not a whole lot of clothes fitting anymore, I just wish I could go around in my robe all the time...though I have a hard time keeping it closed with my belly ha ha! My back does hurt quite a bit and I feel like I can never get enough sleep. Trying to rest up as much as I can before this little one comes!

My 28th Birthday!

My birthday was last wednesday...the weekend before Nick and I went to the Wisconsin Dells. We stayed saturday night and spent sunday there also. The kids stayed with my parents. Was nervous about leaving Drake...the last time was in October, but he did great and had fun, even took a nap there on sunday! We stayed at the Polynesian Resort...they have a huge indoor and outdoor waterpark, but we didn't do any of it. What a waste, I know! Saturday we walked around downtown, rode on the Wisconsin Ducks, saw the Tommy Bartlett show and went to HoChunk Casino. The Ducks were alot of fun...when we went in the grassy area we saw a couple deer and a fawn. I told Nick to take a picture...they were so close to us, but he noticed I forgot to put a camera card in. Ugh!! We went further down into an area covered in ferns and wouldn't you know...another deer sitting right in the ferns. Really pretty...of course no picture! After we had to hurry get to the Tommy Bartlett show. I didn't really know what to think...wasn't sure if I would enjoy it much, but it turned out to be great and really entertaining! We went to the last show of the night...they had a water/light show at the end with Proud to Be An American playing...totally made me tear up! I was starving after, so we headed to Pizza Pub. I have to say that they have THE best pizza! We were off the the casino after eating. I'm not much of a gambler, but I figured what the heck, I can bust out a 20 for it tonight! Ha Ha! Lost it of course. Nick played Blackjack and ended up losing. We didn't stay long...it was already late. Got to the hotel, went to bed. At least I TRIED to sleep. I had indigestion really bad from eating pizza so late...we had a ground floor window right next to the exit door and some idiots were outside the window at 2:30 am being loud. I kept thinking they were going to leave, but they finally did about 20 minutes later! Nick of course was sound asleep. I don't know what time I finally got to sleep, but was wide awake at 7!! Needless to say, sunday I was exhausted. After we got ready, we headed downtown to have our picture taken at one of the old time photo places. I hate having my picture taken, but it was alot of fun. We got lunch, did some souvenier shopping for the kids and headed to the outlet mall! Found quite a bit of stuff for Nick, the kids, and the baby. I fell asleep on the way home. We got to my parents at 7pm and they had supper ready for us! Nothing like a home cooked meal! We had a great time and I'm glad we got to spend some time alone before the baby comes. For my actual birthday, we didn't do a whole lot because Xavier had a baseball game...which they won. Nick got me a cake from my favorite place. YUMMY! He also got me a new lens for my camera :) I also got cards and gifts from other thoughtful people :) It was a nice birthday!
